The Malta-EU Steering & Action Committee (MEUSAC) together with the Ministry for Tourism, Culture and the Environment and the Ministry for Gozo organised a consultation session on the recently published White Paper on the Prevention, Abatement and Control of Neighbourhood Noise.
This Paper assesses all forms of noise that are presently regulated through various laws. This includes, amongst other, noise from land, sea and air transport, noise from construction and industrial activities, and from operating various forms of machinery and equipment, noise within a workplace, from places of entertainment and from one-off events such as concerts and other types of miscellaneous noise within neighbourhoods.
This session was held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the Conference Hall of Ministry for Gozo in Victoria. The Hon. Giovanna Debono, Minister for Gozo and the Hon. Mario de Marco, Minister for Tourism, Culture and the Environment addressed the audience.
