Seminar on EU Funding for Archbishop’s Delegates, Heads of Diocesan Commissions and Senior Curia Officials.

Following Malta's accession to the EU, the Commission for the Church in Malta & Europe, for which Fr Vanni Xuereb is responsible, has been trying to assist the Church and Church-related organisations in making the best of EU opportunities and direct funds and Structural Funds. The Commission for the Church in Malta & Europe serves as the EU focal point for the dioceses of Malta and Gozo.

In this context, the Commission for the Church organised a seminar on some of the EU programmes which can be tapped by the Church and Church-related organisations. This seminar was attended by senior Curia officials, the Archbishop's delegates for the various Secretariats (Clergy, Parishes, Cathechesis, Youth, Education and Culture, Tourism and Emmigration etc.), the chairpersons of the diocesan commissions (family, culture, environment etc.)and by representatives of Church-related organisations.

The seminar was addressed by Mauro Miceli (EUPA), Caldon Mercieca (MTAC), Gabriella Agius (EUPA) and by Dr Gabriella Pace (FME).
