Earlier this month, two information sessions for public officials were organized by the Staff Development Organisation (SDO) within the Office of the Prime Minister, in collaboration with Forum Malta fl-Ewropa. Both sessions were delivered by Julian Micallef, Forum’s Civil Society Coordinator. 

The first session was held on 13th March and discussed different methods that may be resorted to for external consultations, and there was also the possibility to hear the views of representatives of the business community. In fact the session also included the participation of Lino Mintoff (CEO - Malta Business Bureau) as well as of Vince Farrugia (Director General – GRTU).

On 14th March, the second session focused on the European Union’s budget reform and its importance for the Union’s work. The Commission’s revision is expected to take place during the period 2008-2009 and a consultation exercise is already underway.
