The Kempinski San Lawrenz Resort and Spa is one of the hotels that has benefited from the MTA Grant Scheme 2004-2006. This scheme sought to improve the Maltese islands' socio-economic development, increase the competitiveness of tourism enterprises and encourage tourism enterprises to invest and improve their product.
The installation of the Micros Fidelio Materials Control has proved efficient in the overall system's management. It has facilitated and enhanced more effective operations management in processes related to purchases, inventory management as well as recipe and cost control. The installation of the Micros Fidelio Financials boosted the effective set-up of financial reports for the company and also contributed to more efficient budgetary comparisons whilst allowing for immediate extraction of financial results. A Spa software system, equipped with the latest technologies, has also been implemented. As a result of this system, the quality of the services offered was further enhanced and new treatments facilities and extensions to service provision were introduced. The need to have in place the most advanced and widely-used customer management system for the restaurant industry led to the introduction and installation of the Micros 9700 Point of Sale System.
The implemented activities and overall co-financing for the project under the MTA Grant Scheme 2004/2006 have addressed the requirement to strengthen the operability of the Kempinski San Lawrenz Resort and Spa, in order to address the continuous changing requirements and cater for the growing clientele of this tourism stakeholder.
