Dr. Diane Farrugia joined MEUSAC in February 2009 as Executive - Consultation responsible for Justice and Home Affairs as well as for Competitiveness and Consumer Affairs.

Dr. Farrugia graduated in laws from the University of Malta in 2006.  She took part in an Erasmus exchange programme as part of her studies, following European law and international law courses for a semester at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium). She subsequently obtained an LL.M. in European Legal Studies at the College of Europe (Bruges).

Following her LLM, Dr. Farrugia furthered her expertise in European law by completing a traineeship at the Court of Justice of the European Communities in Luxembourg within the cabinet of Judge Anthony Borg Barthet. She also worked as a lawyer-linguist in the Translation Division of the Court. Upon returning to Malta, Dr. Farrugia worked in the financial services sector until joining MEUSAC.

As from January 2010 Dr Farrugia assumed the responsibilties of Head of Consultation at MEUSAC.
