On Wednesday 30^th June MEUSAC organised a consultation session on the future direction of the EU's trade policy. This was based on the public consultation which the Commission has launched recently. The Commission’s consultation follows the 'Europe 2020' strategy which highlighted the importance of trade for the future recovery and is intended to gather views from relevant stakeholders within the EU and third countries regarding the rationale, scope and strategic objectives for a future EU trade policy.
